This Customer “Agreement” is made between the Tour Operator and the Traveler referred to as “Customer”, “Participant”, “I”, “you”, or “your”. After reading this entire customer agreement, you must indicate your acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement by clicking the appropriate box online or sending a signed copy to our office by mail or fax for your reservation to be complete.

Tour Operator

Mercy Ethiopia Tours has arranged all packages and related components. Mercy Ethiopia Tours is responsible for making travel arrangements through independent vendors and suppliers and does not own or operate any airline, hotel, establishment, coach, insurance, tour, or event company or provider that may be included in its package offerings.

About Our Tours

Accommodations: The standard of lodges and hotels in Ethiopia varies tremendously.  We use the best available whenever possible according to each client’s budget.

Transportation: We use the best 4WD vehicles and minibuses with experienced drivers. For domestic flights, we travel with Ethiopian Airlines, one of the best airlines in Africa.

Guides:  English, French, German, Spanish and Italian speaking guides are available.  If your language preference is not mentioned here, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Private Tours:  Unless a private tour is requested, other clients may join all or part of your tour.  We keep our tours small, but if you have questions about the size of a specific tour, please let us know.  Even if we are customizing a tour, if you want the tour to be private, please specify this during the planning stages.


Mercy Ethiopia Tours is acting only as agents of passengers in all matters relating to accommodation and transportation. However, Mercy Ethiopia Tours shall not be liable for injury, flight schedule changes, delay, loss or damage arising from any cause and in any manner whatsoever.

The laws of Ethiopia govern Mercy Ethiopia Tours’ liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles, and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the court of Ethiopia in which the cause of action arises. Mercy Ethiopia Tours’ all vehicles are comprehensively insured.

Mercy Ethiopia Tours’ reserves the right to employ subcontractors whenever necessary to carry out all or any part of the services agreed to be supplied and in any event of the exercise of such right the terms of clause II related to Mercy Ethiopia Tours’ liability shall apply.

Reservations and Payments

Reservations can be made online at or by fax, letter or telephone. At the time of confirmation, a deposit of 30% of tour cost due four weeks prior to departure. The remaining tour cost due prior to first day of tour. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, bank wire and cash may make payments.

Tour cost and itineraries will be provided upon request.

Cancellation Policy

Mercy Ethiopia Tours will charge 30% of the tour cost for last minute cancellation of less than a week prior to tour commencement. In any case, we hold the right to cancel the tour and the same will be informed to you 10 days prior to the actual date of departure.

Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your tour.

Other Facilities

  • Tours: We can arrange our said tours exclusively for you and your family, as per your requirement.
  • Special Group Tours: Schools, colleges, corporate or organizations, we arrange exclusive tour packages as per your requirement.
  • Vehicle on Hire: 49 / 35 / 27 / 20 / 12 / 8 / 4 seats of vehicles are available on hire.
  • Air Tickets: We book air tickets to any destination of Ethiopia by any flight in any class of your choice.
